End of day update from us here at KOG:
We mentioned the importance of waiting for a breakout before taking a trade. The range can be frustrating for those who are less experienced, and they accumulate to make you want to get involved in the choppy price action. That's why we said, wait for the break, then you'll get the move in which ever direction they want to take it. This is the power of the indicator, it gave the signal on pre-break and the move terminated exactly at our target level before giving a RIP for those who wanted to short.
Now we should see more accumulation with the potential range highlighted on the chart. We would say 2630 is an important level of support and 2645 and key level of resistance. Below the 2645 price point we would like to see more bearish movement on Gold, however, it's all dependent on that 2630 level breaking.
For now, we're going to again wait after taking some nice trades on Gold today and let Excalibur make the decision.

As we expected we were due to see some ranging and choppy price action today due to the holidays. The levels of 2630 failed to hold below and 2645 kept us tight bar a slight stretch. In any case, it allowed us to play a nice Red box trade from resistance to support then tapping and bouncing the hot spot for anyone who wanted to long.
Now we'll stick with the same plan, support 2630 and resistance 2645 which if continued to hold we should see more downside. Getting the trade will be difficult due to the low volume so expect more ranging tomorrow unless there is a sudden geopolitical announcement. Otherwise, limited reports from us until next week, we'll publish the red boxes instead.

The range has played well as well as the red boxes performing. We do have a target active though, which is concerning. 2630 held us up, we've failed to close below 2645. What will next week bring? Tune in on Sunday for the KOG Report.
