In january 2008, the market felt but "dead-cat-bounced" with a bullish butterfly. The configuration was exactly like today.

It looks obvious to me, SPX has broken the trend line in log scale (that's the only one working for long term chart). Currently there is a "5-0 bearish pattern", pushing down.
