Here i illustrate how to look for signs of reversal in lower time frames, while also looking to, and getting confirmations in lower and higher time frames for potential targets.

If you look to the TF below 12 min, in the 1 and 3, respectively, you will notice that it has a chance to head up. That causes us to look to higher tf, to see how much CHANCE it has to come up. Play within those ranges for scalping is best play. choosing the extremes of those are the safer plays for rejection or support.
