Here's a quick run down. California water futures are a thing now as of early last December. Water is quite literally one of the scarcest resources in the entire state and a dwindling natural resource globally. Under normal circumstances, this contract is meant to be for farmers looking to ensure water to their crops but not too long in the future California is bound to have another natural disaster that disrupts water flow to it's fruits (yes, their nuts) and eventually its other fruits & nuts in urban areas like San Francisco or Los Angeles.
This futures contract has been on an uptrend for about 3 straight months in a row and this is literally the safest bet anyone can ever take. With summer coming around the corner, things will be blazing hot as global warming sears everything in California's central (farming) valley. Even if the "big one" hits, only land west of the I-5 will be abandoned by FEMA. This means that the farms will still be there and your water contracts are safu.
I'll be embarking on the smoothest brain play of the century, will you join me?
