As it would have it, this was our first trade on TradingView and also happens to be our bread and butter flagship trades. These trades are usually placed between 12-5PM EST during the New York session with the intent that Asia/London (but specifically London liquidity) will push it further down in contamination with the overall medium term outlook and trend. In this situation, the medium term (month by month) trend was down for the EURUSD and we entered during a low volatility period of the NY session with expectations we'd see Asia/London signal the loss of momentum to the upside during New York, as a reason to continue selling.
