The theory is this when we detect unusual activity in the BTCUSD/BTCEUR pair that does not correspond to equal movement in the EURUSD pair its a sign that there is general manipulation in Bitcoin related to a Bump and Dump scheme.

Answering to the question why the Eur/Usd is important ?
The EurUsd is not important in itself , is important in relation to BTCUSD/BTCEUR. Normally BTCUSD/BTCEUR moves in the exact movements of the EurUSD, its correlated positively with it.When this ''strange'' activity happens it serves to filter the movement happening in Bitcoin and showing clearly with out doubt that there is manipulation.
