Crypto GapCrypto trade 24 hours a day, so there is no real gap.
But the gap is a price area actually where nobody or very few people trade.
This script marks all those areas on your chart.
You'd better use the daily chart and change the marked candle color same as your chart background color, then you'll see the magic.

Plot the most recent 20 gaps based on custom session info.
The session can be customized with a start time and an end time.
The previous open, high, low, close are only from the price during the session specified.
A gap line will stop printing the moment the gap is filled.
For CME futures, the session must be offset by one hour for Central time. I use the official cash close of 16:15 EST (yes, not 16:00) as this is the TRUE close when options go offline. Every day CME futures take a break between 16:15 - 16:30 EST for settlement, and then again from 17:00 - 18:00 EST.
To offset CME futures you must subtract an hour, the official NYSE hours for futures: 0830-1515, this translates to 9:30 AM EST - 4:15 PM EST.

Gap-O-MaticGap-O-Matic checks whether there is a gap in a user-defined security or symbol and gives you alerts, targets for the gap and tracks the gap until it has been filled. In addition, you can disable or show plots, and change the gap threshhold to pick how big of gaps you want Gap-O-Matic to alert you to and which it should ignore.
A good use case, for example, is to use Gap-O-Matic to monitor a CME/CBOE such as "BTC1!" while trading a bitmex chart. You wont need to check or chart out gap areas. Gap-O-Matic will automatically draw in the gaps on your chart for you.

There are several versions: Simple, Pro and Zones. This is the Simple version. The Differences are listed below.
- Simple: shows/counts gaps, changes color based on gap dir (2 colors), filters out price gaps within session, large gaps, and high volume gaps
- Pro: +shows all types of gaps, multi color, more filters (time gaps, doji, etc)
- Zones: +shows gaps as dynamic horiz zones

My Closed Gap v.1.1 by WentalThe indicator draws a line when the gap is open and stops drawing it when the gap is closed. The length of the line is limited. The indicator has four modes of operation, you can adjust it depending on the instrument and personal preferences.

Bollinger Band Open Gap Alert V1This is the bare bones of what I'm trying to achieve through pine script. The purpose of the script is to:
1. On a 15m chart, calculate and plot upper & lower Bollinger bands and simple moving average of 20 periods. (DONE)
2. On a new day, when the first 15m candle of a session forms, I want to check if a) the low of the new candle is outside the upper Bollinger band (also known as an open gap up) or b) if the high of the candle is the outside the lower Bollinger band (also known as open gap down). In other words, I want to know if the Bollinger Bands are not touching the new candle's wicks/shadows. (DONE)
3. Alert me if the above happens. (DONE)
4. Run the indicator through an entire watch list. I'm not sure if that's possible, yet. (HELP)
For the above job, this is what I could come up with. I need guidance for the last step . And any suggestions for corrections or improvements would be greatly appreciated!

Here we consider 3 types of gaps in order to adapt the tool to diversity of trading styles:
Strict Gaps : A gap not filled with Candle Shadows.
Shadow Overlap and Close Price NOT Taken : A gap where shadows overlap and don't take previous close.

Gappers - Closed gaps analysis
Hey all,
trading the week-end gap on monday is a well known trading technique, praised by most and ignored by others
With my script you can easily see where there have been monday gaps and see where these gaps has been closed on monday
If a gap is present the script shows a WHITE SQUARE
if a gap is present and is filled on monday candle it shows WHITE SQUARE + "GAP CLOSED"
You can also set the threshold for the gap (first parameter)
and set the threshold of how near last candle close your TP is
Defaults are 1.001 for gap and 1.001 for closed TP (for gap 1.0019 takes in account only big gaps)

Gap Gain Test V1.0 by @overratedtraderOddball indicators for entertainment purposes only. This is best used on daily chart.
Look at the 20 ALMA to gauge likelihood of stock following its up or down gap.
- if above the 20 ALMA , follow the gap direction
- if below the 20 ALMA , take counter trend trade
If stock gaps up AND closes higher than it opens, that gain % (close/open) is colored green and if stock gaps down and closes lower than it opens, that gain % (close/open) is colored green
Conversely if the stock gaps up BUT closes lower than it opens, red and if a stop gaps down but closes higher than it opens, red.

DAX GAPSIf you are interested in trading gaps in DAX, then DOW plotted in DAX's trading hours, will help you know whether the smoothed candle was a gap or not. Use a different script to plot yesterday's closing price. This will help you see the target for the gap close. Let me know if you find it helpful or not!
