Strategy Myth-Busting #23 - 2xEMA+DPO- [MYN]#23 on the Myth-Busting bench, we are automating the "Best Funded Account Trading Strategy (Pass EVERY Challenge!)" strategy from "Trade with Pat" who claims this strategy will pass every trading challenge out there.
This strategy uses 3 open source indicators. 2 EMA's. The first one (Slow) is set to a length of 40 and a fast EMA which is set to 12. This strategy uses the crossover of the fast( 12) EMA over the Slow EMA ( 40 ) as the primary means to enter a long position. The opposite when the fast EMA crosses under the slow EMA as a means to indicate a short position. This strategy uses the DPO (Detrended Price Oscillaor) from the Uptrend Price DPO indicator in the same way we would traditionally use a stochastic or moving average convergence/divergence indicator like the MACD . Basically, the DPO helps evaluate and estimate the length of the price cycle from peak to peek or through to trough and in this strategy confirms entry of a long / short condition complimenting the EMA crossover/crossunders.
And as always, If you know of or have a strategy you want to see myth-busted or just have an idea for one, please feel free to message me.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
EMA x2 ( 40 and 12)
Untrend Price DPO indicator by jTradeuh
Trading Rules
1 or 4 hour candles
Stop loss at previous highest-high (Short) and lowest-low (Long).
Take Profit 2 - 2.5 the risk

ATR Mean Reversion Strategy V1**Long Only Strategy**
When Price drops below the ATR band below it will enter a buy on the next candle open
SL at current price minus ATR* ATR multiplier
TP at Mean EMA or if higher than Mean EMA and current candle low is below previous candle low or if price is above ATR
NB: I would highly recommend a low fee broker (I use ICmarkets raw spread account) due to the fact that this is a decently high frequency trading strategy you will rack up a lot of commission, if you use and exchange like Bybit or Binance the strategy will not be profitable due to the high commissions.
Zazzamira 50-25-25 Trend SystemPublishing my trading system script. It consist of several conditions to happen in order to open a trade. Work best on ES/MES 5 minute timeframe.
I like to use it with this settings:
- UTC -6 (don't tick Exchange Timezone)
and rest as default
To enter a trade, the following conditions must be met: Entry 1: the opening range (8:30AM - 9:15AM UTC-6) must be defined and the price must close above or below the opening range on the 5-minute timeframe. This entry condition defines the trade direction (above = long / below = short). Once the opening range is defined, the Trend-Based Fib Extension is applied from the range high to the range low (and vice versa). Fib levels are required for Exit conditions. Entry 2: the 8 - 27 - 67 - 97 EMAs must be defined. If the EMAs value order is 8 > 27 > 67 > 97, long-only trades are allowed. If the EMAs value order is 8 < 27 < 67 < 97, short-only trades are allowed. This entry condition filters fake breakouts of Entry 1. Entry 3: no trades are allowed after 12:59 UTC-6 (2PM EST). Entry 4: if Entry 1, Entry 2, and Entry 3 conditions are valid and the price hasn't reached the 23.6% Fib line, an entry order can be set at the range high/long with 4 contracts. To exit a trade, the following conditions must be met: Exit 1 (Stop loss): set a trailing stop based on 2.1x ATR (14) from entry. Exit 2: take 50% profits at the 23.6% Fib and leave trailing stop untouched. Exit 3: if Exit 2 triggers, take 50% (25% of total entry) off at 61.8% Fib, leaving Exit 2 trailing stop values valid. Exit 4: exit the full position at the FIB 100% value. Exit 5: all trades must be closed at 3pm UTC-6 (4PM EST). So basically Take Profit are 50%-25%-25% of position.
Code has been written by © Hiubris_Indicators who has been an amazing coder and gave me the possibility to make this script public so a really big shoutout to him.
TradePro's 2 EMA + Stoch RSI + ATR StrategySaw TradePro's "NEW BEST HIGHEST PROFITING STRATEGY WITH CRAZY RESULTS - 2 EMA+ Stochastic RSI+ ATR", and was curious on the back testing results. This strategy is an attempt to recreate it.

Long Entry Criteria:
- 50 EMA > 200 EMA
- Price closes below 50 EMA

- Price closes above 50 EMA
- Stochastic RSI has gone into overbought > 80
- Stochastic RSI crosses down while making lower high from previous cross down
Stop-loss is set to ATR stop-loss
Take Profit is 2x the risk
All parameters are configurable.

Wunder Trend Reversal botWunder Trend Reversal bot
1. Wunder Trend Reversal Bot - this has only one goal to find a reversal of the trend.
2. The strategy determines, based on the specified value for the filter, a market reversal based on the price actions of the previous bars.
3. A short EMA is used to filter false signals after the reversal signal was received. Crossing the EMA and changing its direction confirms the trend change.
4. There are 2 ways to calculate stop loss and take profit. You can choose one of them:
- Classic stop loss and take profit in a fixed percentage
- ATR stop loss and take pro
5. ATR uses risk reward (R:R) to calculate take profit. The script calculates the risk-reward based on a certain stop loss level and uses it to calculate the take profit
6. A function for calculating risk on the portfolio (your deposit) has been added to the script. When this option is enabled, you get a calculation of the entry amount in dollars relative to your Stop Loss. In the settings, you can select the risk percentage on your portfolio. The loss will be calculated from the amount that will be displayed on the chart.
For example. Deposit - $1000, you set the risk to 1%. SL 5%. Entry volume will be $200. The loss at SL will be $10.10$ this is your 1% risk or 1% of the deposit.
Important! The risk per trade must be less than the Stop Loss value. If the risk is greater than SL, then you should use leverage.
The amount of funds entering the trade is calculated in dollars. This option was created if you want to send the dollar amount from Tradingview to the exchange. However, putting your volume in dollars you get the incorrect net profit and drawdown indication in the backtest results, as TradingView calculates the backtest volume in contracts.
To display the correct net profit and drawdown values in Tradingview Backtest results, use the ”Volume in contracts” option.
CM_SlingShotSystem+_CassicEMA+Willams21EMA13 htc1977 editionThis strategy is a combination of 2 indicators based on EMA(actually x3 EMAs and Williams ind.
We usin this to see where EMA fast is above EMA slow(for long), entry position when price hit fast EMA and exit if trend changes or price overbought, or by stoploss 1%.
The opposite for a short position.
For better result You can change every EMA's, stoploss, Willam's ind and other visualisation in settings.
If You find good combination - please, let me know(if You want).

============
- Description:
This strategy is based on two simple candlestick patterns (you can pick between 2 variants) with an extra option to require trigger candles to be opposite to the closing one (explained below).
There are several customizable settings such as take profit, stop loss and break even (all based on ATR).
You can customize starting and ending date for the testings.
Other options such as allow switch position if strategy SHORTs when you are LONG and vice versa.
There's an additional optional EMA filter.
- LONG / SHORT ENTRY:
Original pattern: for LONG, current candle must close ABOVE the HIGH of previous candle and the candle 3 positions back, opposite conditions for SHORT.
Variant pattern: for LONG, the current candle must close ABOVE the HIGH of the previous candle and the candle before that one too, opposite conditions for SHORT.
Optional: require the trigger candles to be opposite, ex: for LONG you need the previous candles to be RED (bearish).
Optional: EMA filter, price must be ABOVE for LONGs, below for SHORTs.
- EXIT CONDITION:
Stop Loss or Take Profit, based on ATR.
- Visual:
The script prints the Take Profit as a GREEN line, Stop Loss as a RED line and entry price with a WHITE line.
If enabled, the Break Even required price is BLUE, and the new Stop Loss level (for break even or protecting profit) is AQUA.
- Recommendations:
This strategy is great on DAILY on most assets, including crypto, forex and gold.
12H seems to work in most cases, lower timeframes are worse.
- Customization:
You can customize indicator settings (ATR, EMA...).
Stop Loss and Take Profit ATR multipliers are also customizable.
The break even is optional, required level and break even levels (also based on ATR) are custom too.
Almost everything is customizable, for colors and plotting styles check the "Style" tab.
Enjoy!

LONG Exit strategy:
ATR: Last 14 day
Lowest: The lowest value of the last 14 candles
Limit points = (Trade Price - Lowest + ATR) * 100000
trail_points : Limit/2
trail_offset = Limit/2
SHORT Exit strategy:
ATR: Last 14 day
Highest: The higher value of the last 14 candles
Limit points = (Trade Price - Highest + ATR) * 100000
trail_points : Limit/2

Trend #4 - ATR+EMA channelOverview:
This strategy use ATR to take-profit, Red-EMA to stop-loss, Blue-EMA channel to judgment breakout.
This strategy use commission setting is 0.05%, slippage setting is 2 ticks, you can set the appropriate value size in the properties page.
What it does:
This strategy detects when a trend is emerging and buy or sell.
How it does it:
When the price breaks through the blue EMA channel, the trend is judged to be strong in the short term, strategy generates a buy or sell order.
After buying or selling,, if the price moves in the expected direction, uses ATR to determine the appropriate spread to take profit, otherwise use red EMA for stop loss.
How to use it:
Start Date and Stop Date - This parameter adjusts the time range used by the strategy.
Stoploss - This parameter adjusts the stop loss amount after each order is placed.
Blue EMA length - This parameter adjusts the length of the channel.
Blue EMA multy - This parameter adjusts the width of the top and bottom of the channel.
ATR Period - This parameter adjusts the number of candles used by the ATR.
ATR mult - This parameter adjusts the upper and lower widths of the ATR. Lowering this parameter can improve the win rate, but not necessarily the profitability.
Red EMA length - This parameter adjusts the number of candles used by the red EMA .
Long - This switch is used to turn Long position on or off.
Short - This switch is used to turn short position on or off.

WilliamTrendFollower StrategyThis strategy is based on signals from the WilliamTrendFollower indicator.
You can optimize the parameters of this strategy as you wish. I hope you get the most accurate result.
About WilliamTrendFollower:
With this indicator, we try to catch the trends in price. With continued use of this indicator, we expect it to eventually escape horizontal positions and catch up with continuous trends.
Combined with the WilliamsR indicator and the exponential moving average indicator.
The WilliamsR Fisher Transforms are combined with the ATR indicator to create a line that lags behind the moving average value.
Since it is a tracking indicator, we created a line that is more connected to the price and itself.
In this way, a curve close to the price line is obtained in uptrends and downtrends.
In this indicator, if you choose the parameters correctly, you can easily bypass the horizontal positions. This gives you a safe visualization of support and resistance points as well.
From the settings of these indicators, you can set the multiplier and the exponential moving average period.
It works in all time intervals.
But it was calculated without volume , instead it was created using fisher transforms, moving averages, and the average true range .
Catching the Bottom (by Coinrule)This script utilises the RSI and EMA indicators to enter and close the trade.
The relative strength index (RSI) is a momentum indicator used in technical analysis. RSI measures the speed and magnitude of a security's recent price changes to evaluate overvalued or undervalued conditions in the price of that security. The RSI is displayed as an oscillator (a line graph) on a scale of zero to 100. The RSI can do more than point to overbought and oversold securities. It can also indicate securities that may be primed for a trend reversal or corrective pullback in price. It can signal when to buy and sell. Traditionally, an RSI reading of 70 or above indicates an overbought situation. A reading of 30 or below indicates an oversold condition.
An exponential moving average (EMA) is a type of moving average (MA) that places a greater weight and significance on the most recent data points. The exponential moving average is also referred to as the exponentially weighted moving average. An exponentially weighted moving average reacts more significantly to recent price changes than a simple moving average simple moving average (SMA), which applies an equal weight to all observations in the period.
The strategy enters and exits the trade based on the following conditions.
ENTRY
RSI has a decrease of 3.
RSI <40.
EMA100 has crossed above the EMA50.
EXIT
RSI is greater than 65.
EMA9 has crossed above EMA50.
This strategy is back tested from 1 April 2022 to simulate how the strategy would work in a bear market and provides good returns.
Pairs that produce very strong results include ETH on the 5m timeframe, BNB on 5m timeframe, XRP on the 45m timeframe, MATIC on the 30m timeframe and MATIC on the 2H timeframe.
The strategy assumes each order is using 30% of the available coins to make the results more realistic and to simulate you only ran this strategy on 30% of your holdings. A trading fee of 0.1% is also taken into account and is aligned to the base fee applied on Binance.
EMA + Williams Fractal Pullback [Trading Nerd]EMA Pullback Strategy with Williams Fractal Indicator
Backtesting script that searches for trends (long and short) and a following pullback into the EMAs. It enters on the first Williams Fractal in the desired direction. I found the Strategy on YouTube as a "M1 Scalping Strategy for Bitcoin".
Including fees the strategy is not profitalbe in lower timeframes (at least if not optimized). But it seems to work on higher timeframes as a swing traiding strategy.
Strategy Conditions
Longs:
EMA 1 > EMA 2 and EMA 2 > EMA 3
Number of need to be above the EMA 1
Then a Pullback into the EMAs is required
Enter on the first bullish Williams Fractal
Signal is canceled if the price closes below the EMA 3
Shorts:
EMA 1 < EMA 2 and EMA 2 < EMA 3
Number of need to be below the EMA 1
Then a Pullback into the EMAs is required
Enter on the first bearish Williams Fractal
Singal is canceled if the price closes above the EMA 3
Take Profit
A Risk Reward Take Profit is possible. If you want to use only a trailing Stop Loss, you can set the Take Profit to 'None'
Stop Loss
The default Stop Loss is EMA. If the Pullback has not reached the EMA 2, the Stop Loss is set to the EMA 2. If the Pullback has reached the EMA 2, the Stop Loss is set to the EMA 3.
Other Stop Loss types are available: ATR, HH/LL
Trailing Stop Loss
Available trailing Stop Loss types: ATR, HH/LL. Best practice is to also set the Stop Loss type to the same value.
The Stop Loss is updated if the value from the latest closed candle is greater/less than the previous value for a long/short trade.
Additional
Time Filter: Only opens trade in the defined Session. Open trades are still being closed outside of the Session.
Start Date/End Date: Limits the backtest for the defined Date Range
Trading Days: Only open Trades on the checked Days
Risk % per Trade: If enabled the Strategy uses X% of the capital (defined in Settings -> Properties -> Initial Capital)
Use Compound Interest: If enabled Capital is recalculated for every trade (initial capital + net Profit)
IMPORTANT: For low Timeframes and Markets with tight SL (like Forex) it requires a lower Margin Percent than default. Go to Settings->Properties and lower the required Long/Short Margin. Otherwise Trades might not be considered because of too less capital/marign. Margins can e.g. set to: 2% (Forex), 10% (Stocks), 20% (Crypto).

Strategy Myth-Busting #10 - InsideBar+EMA - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our 10th one we are automating is the " 75% Win Rate High Profit Inside Bar Trading Strategy - What If You ... " strategy from " Trade Pro " who claims to have backtested this manually and achieved 11,063% profit with a 75% winrate over 100 trades. I was unable to emulate these results consistently accommodating for slippage and commission but even so, the results look promising. I was only able to achieve this win-rate with some multiple take profit staggering. Even so the markdown is above where I would normally consider comfortable (>20%).
If you know of or have a strategy you want to see myth-busted or just have an idea for one, please feel free to message me.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
Inside Bar Ind/Alert by CMA

Short Entry when these conditions are true
inside bar and bearish
Bar close below 50 ema
Price action falls below low of inside bar
Trend Hunter v4This strategy follows the Trend Hunter training strategy taught at InvestIshare.
Entries are made based predominantly on the price action being above/below the Ichimoku Cloud with the ATR based super trend being used as a trailing stop loss.
Additional trend tracking tools can be toggled on / off to improve the wind rate on some time frames, with additional options available to limit entries if certain conditions are met.
If you would like access to this indicator, send me a DM on the Investishare Discord in the Trend Hunters channel.
The default parameters are set for BTC on the 2 HR time frame
Ultimate Moving Average Strategy CreatorHave you ever wanted to create your OWN strategy, but don't have coding experience? Well now you can.
With simple settings, but millions of potential strategies and combinations, this indicator / strategy lets YOU make ALL the rules.
Start by choosing up to 4 moving averages from all the various types - Simple, Exponential, Hull, Volume-Weighted, etc. Choose the period and choose price source.
Now the fun part.
You select your values to compare and how to compare them. Want to test if the Fast Moving Average crosses over the Slow Moving Average? No problem. Want to add an additional test to check the closing price is greater than the Fast Moving Average? Done.
With additonal options to set take profit % and stop loss %, as well as a date range and the option for 'Long Only' positions, you can instantly see the results of any strategy in the strategy tester, then simply make an adjustment and refine the criteria without having to know or understand any of the complex coding and scripting.
I have tried many popular moving average strategies, but irrespective of the results, the thing that stood out to me was how inflexible they were. If it was designed to test a triple crossover, that's all it could do. With this indicator, literally anything is possible and modifying the parameters couldn't be easier.
Trend #2 - BB+EMAWhat is the Trend #2 - BB+EMA?
This strategy uses a combination of Bollinger Bands and Exponential Moving Averages, and adds the position management skills.
When a position is established, if the price moves in the wrong direction, EMA will move the stop price closer to the opening price, which will reduce losses during the shocks.
If the price moves in the right direction, EMA will be close to the latest price to try to keep the profit.
Once a trend starts to emerge, the strategy is bound to capture the opportunity. I think this is a very smart way to do it.
This strategy performs well in almost all cryptocurrencies, it's mean the strategy has good generalizability.
EMA and MACD with Trailing Stop Loss (by Coinrule)An exponential moving average ( EMA ) is a type of moving average (MA) that places a greater weight and significance on the most recent data points. The exponential moving average is also referred to as the exponentially weighted moving average. An exponentially weighted moving average reacts more significantly to recent price changes than a simple moving average simple moving average ( SMA ), which applies an equal weight to all observations in the period.
Moving average convergence divergence ( MACD ) is a trend-following momentum indicator that shows the relationship between two moving averages of a security’s price. The MACD is calculated by subtracting the 26-period exponential moving average ( EMA ) from the 12-period EMA.
The result of that calculation is the MACD line. A nine-day EMA of the MACD called the "signal line," is then plotted on top of the MACD line, which can function as a trigger for buy and sell signals. Traders may buy the security when the MACD crosses above its signal line and sell—or short—the security when the MACD crosses below the signal line. Moving average convergence divergence ( MACD ) indicators can be interpreted in several ways, but the more common methods are crossovers, divergences, and rapid rises/falls.
The Strategy enters and closes the trade when the following conditions are met:
LONG
The MACD histogram turns bearish
EMA7 is greater than EMA14
EXIT
Price increases 3% trailing
Price decreases 1% trailing
This strategy is back-tested from 1 January 2022 to simulate how the strategy would work in a bear market and provides good returns.
Pairs that produce very strong results include XRPUSDT on the 1-minute timeframe. This short timeframe means that this strategy opens and closes trades regularly
In order to further improve the strategy, the EMA can be changed from 7 and 14 to, say, EMA20 and EMA50. Furthermore, the trailing stop loss can also be changed to ideally suit the user to match their needs.
The strategy assumes each order is using 30% of the available coins to make the results more realistic and to simulate you only ran this strategy on 30% of your holdings. A trading fee of 0.1% is also taken into account and is aligned to the base fee applied on Binance.
