This is an interesting study that can be used as a tool for determining trend direction, and also could be a trailing stop setter. I use it as a gauge on MTF settings, in the pic MTF is turned off. If on, you can look at the bar cycle of the 1h while on the 15m giving you a lot of information in one tool. If a line is missing high or low, it is because it was...
as usual recently the chart is bugged if I dare post a log one so I deleted and reposted...
here is a simple ema/team script that could allow you to catch trends.
You can play with parameters to get alerted of strong trends, or to detect trends early on.
I want to adapt this to an inside bar strategy, I am going to release that in a while, it is not...
RJT Wind v.1.0 by Rafael Jimenez Tocino
This indicator helps determine the end and the beginning of trends based on the inclination of the "wind sticks".
These are basic lines that show inclination for themselves, and together showing the evolution of the trend of prices.
This tells us about the strength of a trend to...
Showing EMA 100 lines from different timeframes in one indicator.
It can be usefull for determining trend direction without change main timeframe.
Also, when most of the lines converge at one point, the trend changes direction
Recommended for using in TF 15 min, TF 30 min

Mixing three Simple Moving Averages (7 - 20 - 65) to determine "uptrends" and "downtrends".
Uptrend: When the 7 Line is upper than 20, And 20 Line is upper than 65 that usually means the price is trending up.
Downtrend: When the 7 Line is lower than 20, And 20 Line is lower than 65 that usually means the price is trending down.
In essence, it is simply the standard deviation of the last x bars of a
y-bar moving average. Thus, the TAI is a simple trend indicator when prices
trend with authority, the slope of the moving average increases, and when
prices meander in a trendless range, the slope of the moving average decreases.
Here a script uses the moving average cloud. A sma (50, aqua) and a sma (200, olive) are plotted on the cart. When both sma go up the cloud is green. When both sma go down the cloud is red. When sma (200, olive) goes down and sma (50, aqua) goes up the cloud is orange. When sma (200, olive) goes up and sma (50, aqua) goes down the cloud is lime.
