This indicator identifies tops in the bitcoin market cycle. Historically, the Pi Cycle Top indicator has called out tops in the price of bitcoin within three days.
The script is very easy to use and it is possible to change the following parameters:
the time interval (default value is day);
the days of long moving average (default value is 365)
the days of short moving average (default value is 111)
show the moving average plots
show the Pi Cycle Top label highlighting the cross-point

Show (with a label) when the long MA crossed above the short MA (named Pi cycle down).
Added two alert conditions: 1) Pi cycle top; 2) when the long MA crossed above the short MA.
Thanks for a great indicator. The “Pi cycle top” label does not appear during the two events in 2021. Any ideas why? They used to appear months ago, before I hid your indicator. Also, the Long MA does not appear. It too used to appear months ago.

Thanks for this indicator. Can you explain or provide a link to where I can find an explanation for how to use the Pi Cycle down indication?
@Ninorigo, thanks for the link. I don’t see any reference to the use of a bottom indication. Only a top. Can you explain what is the intended use of that? I understand the top indication.

@Peter_Aikins, Right, the "Pi Cycle Down" doesn't exist in the literature, but the moment in which the "long MA" crossed above the "short MA" I preferred to call it "Pi Cycle down" as opposed to "Pi Cycle Top".
