@tomhall, Well the market has had a correction but XRP has pretty much remained stable. Nobody knows how the price got pumped from $0.23 to $1.20 in a matter of days without any retracement! I'm just a noob compared to you but this doesn't look natural to me and I think it will inevitably have a correction if not now then in the coming days.

@fakhan, There is a lot of indecision currently, until there is a break in either direction it's a little harder to predict.
The emotional and impulsive behaviour which is what drives all markets is more visible due to liquidity.

@tomhall, Well we had the same kind of enthusiastic buyers with BTC. People who heard recently about it and wanted to get onboard. Same is true of XRP. A lot of people came to know about it when it hit $1 and most new investors still think if they buy it at $1 it could grow like Bitcoin. In the end, the market doesn't care about amateur investors or their feelings. It does what it has to do. In this case, I see a correction coming. The pump(s) to increase the market cap and take it to 3rd place which got it all the news attention and investor interest was too naked. Any smart investor should be able to see through that and have serious, serious doubts investing in XRP at this stage expecting a breakout.
