That would not be surprising considering that we are pushing up against a psychological resistance level of 3000. Many times, if not most, triangles are formed in high resistance areas in what I like to view as "compressed" waves.

Case in point, if you look at all the waves on the daily chart from June to July every wave is overlapped or "compressed" as they push closer to the 3000 level.
