Rivian is worth over $100 billion at the time of this writing. That's a lot of money.
BTW, they don't generate any revenue. Actually in their press releases they write that on any given quarter, they expect to generate $0 – $1 million in revenue. But never over $1 million. No more than $1 million.
From my research and understanding they are the first pre-revenue company to be worth $100 billion.
I get it - EVs are hot. And they are backed by Amazon and some Saudi money. Maybe they have an awesome roadmap. But my goodness, at 100B they basically need to be flawless in execution. It took Tesla some 10+ years to get to where it is and A LOT of controversy.
I have no position and don't plan on having one. It makes no sense to me. So best to stay away. Writing this down just for fun and to see what others think.

completely agree! I shorted yesterday and lost about 2% of my portfolio as it gapped up in the morning. This was the biggest loss this year I've had . Never challenge dumb money. I will be sitting patiently and wait for it to fall now

I am with you. but it seems like the point is people dont look at them as EV. they look at tesla, lucid, rivian as some crazy future spaceship makers! honestly! lol no Rivian at least are making some REAL car. but what about lucid?! no car yet and not in at least 1yr! I mean not even a single damn car!!!! lol and Tesla! talk to michle berry about how much really tesla worth! great great great tip: I wanna say a billion dollars tip!: it does not mean short at all! market can have bubble and can keep bubble for loooong time until value reaches the bubbled price in a looong run if everything goes based on their plan in 10-15yrs
