One of the reasons that US-Investors betting Billions of US-Dollars against the Italian Bond and Stockmarket is the rise of right wing populism.
It is or was especially the "Five Star Movement". Some Hedgefonds want to make it allmost perfect and talked in the weeks before the Constitutional Referendum with this political party

Germany´s News Magazine "Der SPIEGEL" is telling today, that this "5 Star Movement" now doesn´t shine so bright anymore. Whereever they took over power on a regional base in regional parliaments they results are dissappointing. Who ever is betting Billions against Italy expecting Italy might leave the Euro and the European Union might notice now, that this might not occur.
