If you don't have one you'll be entering one in one way, and another in another way and will not have consistency. For a strategy you need somethings: 1-know how to do the technical analysis, 2-Have

2 Have a SETUP, where you say according to your stragegy "I see this... so the probability is that this... will happen" a kind of IF=THEN rule
3-THE TRIGGER is the confirmation. A trigger might be the take out of a prior high/low, moving averages crossover, Haikin Ashi bars changing colors. Triggers are usually on smaller timeframes, I do my setups on the 4H and triggers on the 15M or 30M

My trigger is the break of a high / low after it breaks the trendline. Not picking highs or lows.
