Bitcoin's price is still going to be a bit down because of continued holiday hours until New Year's plus the fact that South Korea is regulating crypto more (Which should affect Dash too). However, it is expected to go back up in value for a long position. Bitcoin still dominates around 40% of the market. Also BTC core is expected to get some major updates from developers and lots of cryptocurrencies are effected by correlations of BTC's price. Overall, I would not yet be in the position to worry too much about whether or not BTC will stay investible.
